This week in Panama has been amazing so far, and I?m excited for what else it holds. First off, the global business program has been amazing. We’re diving into international business, cross-cultural communication, and global market trends. It’s been eye-opening to learn about the challenges and opportunities in the global business landscape. I feel like I’m gaining valuable skills that will help me thrive in our interconnected world. Panama City itself is a mix of modernity and history. The skyline is filled with impressive skyscrapers, but the old town, called Casco Viejo, has a charming, colonial feel with its cobblestone streets and colorful buildings. It’s a unique blend that I love. The food here has been very interesting, and I feel tastes more ?natural?. I also learned that I am actually a very big pan of fried fish. Now, let’s talk about the cultural differences between Panama and the United States. The people here are incredibly warm and friendly. They take a lot of pride in their Latin American and Caribbean heritage. Family values and relationships are super important to them, which is different from the more individualistic culture back home. As for what I hope to gain from this experience, I want to learn more about international business practices and get hands-on knowledge of Panama’s economy. I’m excited to meet local entrepreneurs, visit multinational corporations, and understand what it’s like to do business in a diverse cultural environment. I?ve already learned about many things, such as their free trade zone, which is one of the largest in the world, and ?Panama Pacifico?, which is a developing mixed-use real estate development. So far, this trip has exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store. I’ll keep you posted on all the exciting adventures during this remarkable journey!
