Within my arrival in Panam? City, Panam? I have been able to discover so many aspects and characteristics that this country has to offer. When I first got here I was probably most surprised with the way people use transportation. The streets in Panam? are so narrow that I?ve had so many encounters that have been so close to a car crash. It might be normal to drive so recklessly yet still be able to get to where you?re going in this country but in the U.S I at least am able to see the different speed limits as well as if there are traffic police which I haven?t been able to depict here in Panam?. Just by sitting on the bus and looking outside my window I have been able to view the beauty that Panam? captures with its skyline as well as the way supply chain has been highly incorporated with the Panam? canal that we got to see this week. What I hope to gain from this global experience includes knowledge on the different businesses that we have this week as well as how they do business here in Panam? and why they do it that way. Another difference that I have been able notice between Panam? and the U.S would definitely be the language barrier. I had the privilege to have Spanish be my first language, so I didn?t have much trouble communicating in Panama, but I did notice the different accents that people have here. I have also noticed that the currency here in Panama that contains Panamanian balboa and in the U.S we use the American dollar. Lastly, I have also been able to eat one of the most popular Panamanian foods which includes plantains, yuca, as well as seafood dishes which compared to the U.S which includes chicken tenders, burgers, or potato chips.
