I actually did not see many differences between the USA and the countries we visited in the financial sector. The only big differences that I saw were that the European firms were way more culturally diverse than the ones here. Almost every single employee at these companies could speak more than one language. Another difference that I saw applies more towards the French. Their presentations were way more structured and time-stricter compared to all the other countries. The biggest thing I learnt from this field trip was the importance of network. All most every visit we went to we got the opportunity to make great connections and that is something I am very grateful for. I loved all the visits and now I have a new dream of working abroad. I would love to work at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Geneva, specially with Pierre Wust (our host for that visit). He is in charge of managing the wealth of high-net worth individuals and companies in Mexico and as a Mexican American myself, that would bring me a great sense of pride and fulfillment.
