Since arriving in Spain, this country has not failed to impress me on every corner. From the beautiful architecture, the warm and welcoming people, not to mention the delicious cuisine, I can most definitely place Spain at the top of my list of favorite countries to visit. I arrived in Barcelona a few weeks before the program started and was able to get to know the city as well as hit many of the tourist attractions before my fellow classmates arrived. Barcelona is an absolutely beautiful city and staying so close to the infamous Sagrada Familia has felt like a dream. With that said, the main reason I decided to join this program was to expand my knowledge of international business and learn more about the European Union.
As the first week is close to concluding, both Professor Panina and Professor Gundin have shown and proven to be excellent professors, which have aided and will continue to aid in my growth of knowledge. I have found both courses to be incredibly interesting and look forward to continuing on expanding my knowledge on both international business and the integration of the European Union. In addition to attending classes daily, we have had various group activities planned so far. I really enjoyed the hike to Montjuic as we were able to see some of the most beautiful views of Barcelona and look forward to visiting Montserrat at the end of this week as well as attending a wine tasting. Ultimately I look forward to expanding my knowledge and being able to travel to different cities the following weekends with my roommates as we already have a few trips planned. This experience has so far surpassed my expectations and I am very excited for what is to come. As someone who has traveled the globe a few times, this experience has been like nothing I have experienced before, and cannot wait to see how the rest of the trip goes.
