My time abroad with Texas A&M was an experience of a lifetime. I spent the second half of my trip in the United Kingdom, with a whole week to explore London. We got to go on many business visits like Lloyd’s of London, Loke Global, Harrod’s, Guild Living, and Superunion Ad Agency. It was so amazing to hear from these speakers, two of which attended A&M and went on the same study abroad trip through Mays.
Business in the United Kingdom revolves around relationships. Getting to know your coworkers outside of the workplace is very important to a good business. People also place great emphasis on maintaining the environment and staying healthy. Studying abroad in the United Kingdom really inspired me to one day be able to work there.
Overall, the past month was an unforgettable experience. I loved getting to know my fellow peers, as well as our professors and the locals of the places we stayed. The business visits were motivating and educational, and I can’t wait to use this knowledge to my advantage in the future.
