Bonjour!! I am so excited to share some of my first expressions of France. Seeing sites that I have looked at through pictures my whole life in person has been the most incredible experience. Contrary to prior belief, I have come to find out that French people are very helpful and kind when you are respectful of their culture and language. I have gotten the privilege to speak with many locals, and the conversations are some that I will never forget.
So far I have seen amazing sites such as the Normandy Beaches, The Lourve, The Eiffel Tower, Mont St. Michel, the Paris Opera House, and Versailles. Today we had the privilege of hearing from officials at the Chamber of Commerce. I learned a lot about how marketing is different in France, especially for designer goods.
Overall, France is a beautiful country and I am so excited to keep exploring and learning more in the weeks to come. The food is amazing, the architecture is beautiful, I am surrounded by history, and most people you meet are very interesting and kind. It is such a blessing to study abroad with CIBS!
