When first entering the city of Barcelona, I noticed every street had its own character and charm. Stores and restaurants do not have large signs. The price of food and grocery is inexpensive. Using the metro is simple and it connects the entire city. Hallways and stairs here are modest in size. Even in the tourist part of town, there is not much large corporate advertising.
After chats with locals, I was surprised to find most workers here are not native Spaniards but from all around Europe. Locals enjoy an easy-going lifestyle and are not in a hustle mindset like Americans. They have their daily fiesta where everyone takes a rest in the middle of the day.
