Bon Dia!
Wow saying that makes me feel so fancy! You know what they say, “foreign so it ain’t borin’.” What a time in Spain, all up until the last day when I was spit on. There I was, just casually walking through the streets of Barcelona exploring and all of a sudden, SPLAT! I thought it was bird poop at first or maybe a drop of rain (on a clear sky sunny day?unlikely lol) but alas, my friend turns around and sees the spit mainly on my mask and a little bit on my hair, she wipes it away as she sees I am on the verge of crying. I am pretty sure someone just spitted from their balcony and I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, I would like to hope this was an accident. Now although that was not how I wanted to be traumatized by Spain, it happens?just know I will now always be walking under the balcony near the stores and doors.
All this to say, my 2 weeks in Spain were great! Crazy how fast it all went by, but I met so many amazing individuals and made lifelong memories with many laughs shared. I?ve learned so much about the culture of Spain, not only the daily life aspect but especially in the business sense. Compared to America, they are much more prideful in their craft, and taking in criticism is not something they are used to so change is hard. Growing the business is definitely a bigger challenge for them if they are not able to be open to change. Hopefully, the small business we helped will be able to take our suggestions and grow. You can only learn so much from a classroom, if you have the opportunity please give studying abroad a try, it taught me so much and I tried the best chocolate croissants so far in my life in Spain.
P.S.: please enjoy my fun photos
