Simply writing this has made me feel some type of way, Barcelona has taught me so much and I don?t want to ever leave. This week was full of adventures! My roommates and I took a trip to Mallorca, a well known island here in Barcelona. Here we parasailed, rode ATVs, cliffed jumped, ate a lot and had tons of fun!
This week we also had a chance of sharing a special day with Doctor Panina, her birthday! We started off the week with a group trip to Ginora, Espa?a. Ginora gave me Italy vibes and it was beautiful and mesmerizing. We had lunch as a group and sang Happy Birthday to our amazing professor. She had a slice of cake and got to blow her candle. That same week we had dinner with her and she took us to an amazing ramen restaurant.?
That same day, we took off to the beautiful island of Mallorca. The flight was only 50 minutes long but it felt more like 30! We checked in, had dinner and headed to bed. The next day we had so many activities planned. We schedule a catamaran and headed there Wednesday morning. The experience was beautiful, the tour lasted 4 hours and it consisted of us driving for an hour, then lunch where we also had a chance to get off the boat and swim in the beautiful crystal clear water.
After the boat, we went off roading with ATVs and I discovered that I am a terrible ATV driver but I still enjoyed our ride so much! We drove to a 20 feet cliff , beautiful beach water. At first I hesitated but I knew that this was a chance of a lifetime, when else could I have the chance to cliff jump in Spain? Never! So I did it, I ran and I jump. This was my first time cliff jumping and I wasn?t sure what to expect, but it was amazing. I did not dare to jump again but the one time I did, was definitely worth it.
Lastly, the last activity I signed up for was parasailing! AHH! I was so excited to get this done, ever since I watched the animated movie RIO where the characters were paragliding I wanted to do this. I was in Guatemala recently and I did not get a chance to do this but I am so glad I got to do it in Mallorca, with one of my closest roommates. The same roommates who are turning into my closest friends!
Mallorca was a beautiful place that opened my eyes to so many new adventures. I will never forget how happy this place made me feel and the memories I have shared with the lovely ladies I get to room with. Barcelona, you will be missed and never ever forgotten. This was an experience of a lifetime and I am thankful for CIBS and A&M for giving us students the chance to travel, make new experiences, and become global citizens. Thank you and until next time!
