Having the pleasure to visit three different countries is by far one of the best experiences. Initially going into this study abroad I was expecting to see many similarities between the business culture and the culture of the country. However each country had many things to offer and each has a great impact on the worlds economy. Spain was the country I felt I had a stronger connection to as I speak Spanish. In Spain the people are so friendly and welcoming, no matter where you go they treat you like family which is very important for them in a business aspect. Spain focus heavily more on having a perfect business rather than taking excessive risks. France also had several wonderful businesses and an amazing culture. The French cuisines, the beautiful art and the architecture really made me fall in love with the country. Visiting Monte Carlo allowed me to see the huge success of many brands and how great functioning the businesses are. Talking to several successful people living in Monte Carlo was by far a learning experience. Italy?s coastal cities were an amazing site as many people from around the world came to these places because of their amazing scenery. Many of the cities I visited relied more on tourism such as Barcelona and La cinque terre. The Italian culture was by far one of the best as they treat you like one of their own. Right from the start we were greeted with open arms and small gifts. Similar to the other countries, Italy is very family oriented and have many family owned businesses. They have an excellent leather market in which many family members work several shops in a general area. The architecture and history behind Italy was like no other as it contained many important buildings and sculptures from the past. Going on this study abroad trip definitely open up my eyes to the real world. I learned so much on what really is out there and how there?s opportunity everywhere you go. I gained knowledge on not only how business is conducted but also how family plays such an important part in everything. Learning different languages and culture is such an important thing that many business students should take advantage of. It allows for a better connection with people from different backgrounds and will improve many of your current skills. Although very similar to the US in a business aspect, the culture is what makes each country unique. By far the best experience I?ve ever had. Until next time Europe!
