Hola!
Costa Rica has been nothing but extraordinary. We are all staying with local families throughout our two weeks here which has helped us see the culture first hand instead of how most trips stay in a hotel room. It?s nice to feel at home while being away from home.
So far we have attended dance class, marketing lecture, fruit tasting, La Fortuna waterfall, zip line tour, natural hot springs, and Bogarin Nature trail! Listening to the owners of the Zipline and Nature trail was interesting to see how they have grown their business and trying to expand their business despite the pandemic. As someone who wants to start their own business, listening to their struggles starting their dream business gave me more motivation to never give up despite not having all of the resources at first.
Being in Costa Rica has also made me thankful of all of the resources that I take for granted back in Texas like air condition and running hot water. Something so small in our daily routine that we do not realize we have until it is no longer there.
Tomorrow is our halfway mark of being here in Costa Rica. I am excited for the school painting service, Sokko restaurant consult, beach trip, indigenous tribe meeting, business lectures, Toucan Rescue Ranch, and coffee and chocolate tasting! I could have not picked a better way to spend my winter break.
Until the next blog, Pura Vida Aggies!
