Hola again from Spain!
I cannot believe this trip is going by so fast. Lately, it has been pretty busy traveling to different cities within Spain. I don’t think I have traveled this much in such a short time in my life. There has not been a minute to spare as we are constantly figuring out where we are going to explore every weekend. Although travel planning is a lot of work, at the same time it is also a lot of fun. Especially when you get to actually get to all the places that you have planned on going to. Most of the sights I really wanted to see, I can say that I have seen them and I am so excited to tell you about them as well as my amazing adventures this week!
Last week I was getting ready to go to Madrid, and let me tell you, now that I am back it was amazing! We spent our 3-day weekend in Madrid, which one of those days was devoted to Toledo. We took the train to Madrid and the first day there we went to The Prado Museum, The Royal Palace and The Crystal Palace. I would have to say my favorites were the Prado and the Royal Palace as they were absolutely breath taking. I can say after touring both I also got lost in both. It was too bad I was not able to take any pictures while on the tours for various reasons. Although the picture I have in my head of them will never fade. The next day we went to Toledo which used to be the old capital of Spain in the 1500s. The town was amazing. I felt like I stepped into the middle ages with the old architecture of all the buildings. To top off the day, we went back to Madrid and ate at the oldest restaurant in the world, Sobrino de Botin. The food was amazing as well as the surroundings. The last day we went to this place for lunch called Villa Capri and that was one of the cutest restaurants I have been to. Next, we boarded our train around 5pm and headed back to Barcelona. The next day we had our day trip to Girona and Tossa de Mar. It was so interesting getting to go to these ancient towns that have so much history dating back to Roman times. I felt like I was time traveling in a sense.
Tomorrow marks another adventure as we are getting up at 4 am to get on a plane bound for Granada. We plan to spend one night there and then take a train to Malaga. After spending some time on the beach, we plan to take another train to Seville where we will spend 3 days there and then head back to Barcelona for our final week in Spain. I am so excited to see another region of Spain. Can’t wait to share all my adventures!
Adios por ahora!
