From the Panama trip, not only have I learned how impactful business is across the globe, but as well as the importance it is to have the opportunity to experience such diversity within a new culture. From the various company meetings we had in the Panama trip I learned how familiar business fields in the United States such as real estate, supply chain, finance, and marketing have different methods and strategies in Panama. Population size, culture, experience, and influences from different countries are all important factors when it comes to understanding how a company works in different parts of the world. It was interesting to learn how much the United States influences Panama and how much they are expanding due to companies around the world expanding into Panama. It was also fascinating to learn about the Panama Pacifico residential community’s continuous growth for industrial opportunities. Panama has been such an incredible experience, being able to visit companies and historical locations has truly led me to work harder to one day be able to work internationally. I have always wanted to travel and I am glad that Panama was my first international trip. I really enjoyed meeting new people and hope to go on another educational trip abroad. My time abroad changed my perspective to being more open to new experiences and meeting new people. My initial impressions were accurate, Panama is such an amazing place to learn about business and of its warm and family-orientated culture. My final reflection would be that Panama is a beautiful country, not only being a strong business hub for various international industries, but as well as protecting its nature and its indigenous villages. I am grateful for the experiences I had in Panama and the new friendships that have developed from this amazing trip.
