Howdy!
We are coming to the end of our study abroad program and my roommates and I can not stop talking about how fast time went by. We all feel like we all just got here a few days ago. My grandma texted me a few days ago and she told me I was probably tired of being away and wanted to go back so badly. But in reality, I do not feel that way at all. I am not over the constant adventures and good times my roommates and I have been having together.
This week we went to Majorca and it was beautiful. This was like our last big adventure together so we decided to go all out. We did an ATV tour and that has definitely been the highlight of my time at Spain. Off-roading and ATV type of activities have always been my favorite because my dad would always take us before he passed away. We got to see a little bit of the country side and parts of the island we would not have gotten to see if we would not have been able to go off-roading. We ended the tour by the water where we got to jump off a cliff into the ocean. Taking that scary jump into the water was such an adrenaline rush and is something I will not forget. At this location we got to snorkel as well. Our tour guide, Pierre, was so nice and it was so impressive how many languages he spoke. A lot of people that work in tourism are able to speak so many languages and it is making me want to learn a third one. It is also so impressive how they are able to switch languages so effortlessly and do not really need a lot of time to think about what they are going to say next.?Another really cool activity we got to do on the island is go on a Catamaran tour. The ocean not only is beautiful but the water also feels amazing, especially with the heat.
If there is one thing I missed while being on the island, it is the weather. Barcelona has such nice weather and I have truly gotten used to it because I was not prepared for the Majorca heat. Going back to Texas, and specifically Laredo, Texas is gonna be a bit of a shock because the weather has been around 103 degrees every single day. I am not ready to leave this city where 84 degree days are the hot days.
I will have to come back to Spain sooner than later because there is still so much more I want to see and experience. When I come back I will definitely have to make a small trip to Tossa Del Mar. We got to see a bit of Tossa this week but I want to come back and spend at least a couple of days in the beach. I will also definitely have to come back and see more of southern Spain.
