Milan was truly an incredible experience. My first few weeks were hard, since the culture shocks were hard to dismiss. After sometime however, I got used to the way people lived there and everything became easy! Milan’s public transportation system is amazing and you can get pretty much everywhere without a car. I also made a ton of amazing friends on my exchange who I will keep in contact with. I got to visit so many cool places as well since flights are super cheap within Europe! I went to Paris (on a 15 euro flight), Amsterdam, Munich (for Oktoberfest), Venice, Lake Como, and so many more cities near Milan. My time in Europe is not over though! I will be back in March for my next semester abroad so I’m thankful I can still explore more of Europe! Nevertheless, this experience has been the best thing that has happened for me. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to study abroad and I can’t wait to do it again.
