Returning to this joyful community felt like coming home, as I reunited with familiar faces and families I had the privilege of meeting the year before. It was heartwarming to witness how the community had experienced transformational growth compared to the hardships we had seen last year.
Our days were filled with laughter, learning, and spreading love as we immersed ourselves in serving the community. From picking up trash to brightening up homes with fresh coats of paint, every task was an opportunity to share God’s love with others. In the midst of serving and having fun, we visited companies to expand our global understanding of business. Despite the adversities one of the businesses faced last year, they were able to overcome and prevail.
Nonetheless, the trip was a reminder that redemption and restoration are on the horizon! Hope is alive in Jarabacoa!
