My initial impressions of Panama were that they seem to be a lot less individualistic when compared to American cultures and treat foreigners well with open arms. Though there seems to be a lot of American culture that has bled through to this country from some of its food to some music they play to their very similar work culture. Though a lot of these differences reside mostly in the city and once we leave the city it starts to fade away. When going to the company visits such as Haliburton it felt very similar to what I would see in America to how the corporate offices were set up to how long they work in the office. Once leaving the city we had gone to rural communities to help small business owners we saw a lot of people who had very limited resources but an extreme amount of talent to be able to create great value propositions. The rural business owners had talent but just needed a push in order to seem more legitimate or to help promote their business. Even though it may seem different a lot of these problems do exist in the US and how similar the problems and culture aspects of each country relate to each other so much with some differences.
