During my high school years, I spent a lot of time going on trips like this and doing community service. Never did I think that I could help people with the knowledge I had from studying business at TAMU! This was one of the most rewarding experiences and truly opened my eyes to the possibilities of being a business major. I had such a great time getting to know the people in my group, and also our leaders (Dani and Esther I miss you!). My favorite memory from this trip was teaching the difference between necessary and unnecessary things to spend money on. I, in broken Spanish, explained that beer was unnecessary despite how much you wanted it! That got a good laugh out of the group. This trip affirmed me a lot in my skills as a business student and also in my creative abilities. The bank we were working with chose my logo design for their brand, and I was so excited and felt affirmed in my choice to be a marketing major! This trip was truly incredible and I am so thankful I got to be a part of it.
