Living in Strasbourg has been a blessing. Something I have always and will always crave is change. This has been quite a big change and I have absolutely adored every moment. Being able to leave my house and walk to most places in the city in under 30 minutes is amazing. Not having access to a dryer was weird for me at first. I attempted using the drying rack which I am sure I miserably failed at.
I have now resorted to flinging my wet clothes across my room to dry out over night. Not a beautiful sight, but a necessary one. Other than that, life has been easy. Classes are 3 hours long which was horrifying at first but I realized how quickly the time passes. I also have barely had any class yet which is so different from A&M. I absolutely love the freeness of my schedule here.
I also love the fact that almost every restaurant and cafe is so small and authentic. It means we have so many choices, and they are all give off a very homey feel. The food at almost every restaurant has been so delicious and not crazy expensive. The only bad meal we have had here was tacos – nothing can compare to our Tex Mex back home.
Here is a photo from a quirky little place that has a bathtub as a chair. Everywhere I go is so unique and lovely. I truly think that I will move to France permanently in the near future. For now, the Bourg will be right where I need to be.
Au revoir!
