Today is officially my fifteenth day in Madrid, and I could not be happier.
It is very easy to fall in love with this city. From the architecture of its buildings and plazas to its streets full of life, excellent cuisine, and diversity. Madrid is the business hub of Spain. One can find in the city the offices of many important companies, and this makes it an ideal destination to intern.
I am currently interning with an international luxury real estate company, and I must say that these two weeks have been greatly enriching in terms of learning more about this industry and its market in Madrid. My experience with my coworkers in the office has been amazing thus far. Everyone has received me with open arms and wishes for me to have a good experience and acquire new knowledge and skills.
Through the Global Experiences program, my peers and I have also had the opportunity to do fun activities that have allowed us to get to know each other better and explore Madrid and its surroundings. Just last weekend we visited the historic city of Toledo. The apartments in which we were accommodated are also very centrally located, and we have famous locations like Plaza Mayor and Gran V?a within a couple of minutes of walking distance.
I feel very excited for what is still to come. I truly feel that this is already marking a difference in my life, and I am grateful for it.
