As I’ve continued to enjoy my time here in Italy I’ve found that one of my favorite parts has been the weekend trips that we’ve been able to take. Recently, we took a trip as a class to Venice where we got to see the city not only by walking but by gondola. This is the best way to see Venice as it is all built on the water. I enjoyed learning about Venice and the importance that it served as a major center for commerce and trade. My friends and I then went on to Milan for the weekend and we saw Duomo Milano, La Galleria, and Sforzesco castle. We walked around the whole city and had an amazing time learning more about Italian culture and history. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my time on the study abroad and especially the freedom that we’ve been given to go do field trips and see different places.
