When I first got to Strasbourg, France, I originally thought I was going to a small town because when people talk about France, they think of Paris. No body I talked to knew where Strasbough was but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a lot more advanced than I thought. I immediately noticed that their railroad system was above ground instead of underneath, which was different from other places I traveled. This was interesting, but it could also be deadly for tourists because you have to watch out for cars and trains can come from all directions. However, one of the things that I also noticed while riding the train is that Parisians do not care about hygiene. The bus or subway I rode always smelt like the boy’s locker room after the gym, and when I looked around, nobody seemed to care. It was normal to them, whereas in America, everyone would be giving you the stinky eye. The business school was also a lot different than Wehner, especially in terms of size. Wehner, I can get lost, but I didn’t get as lost at EM Strasbourg Business School. My initial impressions are that Strasbourg is a hidden and very expensive gem.
