It has been about 5 days since we arrived at our first stop in London and wow am I just impressed. I could not have ever expected to have the amount of fun I have had so far, and the amount I’ve learned in such a short time is amazing. I wasn’t sure what I would think of London as a whole, and while it is very fast paced similarly to New York, I have loved every bit of it. I know this is just the beginning, and I cannot wait to immerse myself in various cultures and gain a deeper understanding of the differences between them. I have already noticed many differences in my short time of being here, and it’s interesting because you would think London would be similar to the United States, however there are many small differences which make it unique. A main thing I’ve noticed so far is how much more reserved and quiet people are here as supposed to America. I really began to notice this when we would ride the tube, otherwise known as a subway or train, as we would be the only people on the whole thing talking. Many people had their heads down and weren’t even making conversation to those next to them, so it made me realize it’s not as common as we may think to just spark a conversation with a stranger. I know this is just the beginning and I am beyond excited to see what the future of this trip has in store. This program has already been life changing, and it is so special and unique compared to others. I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to learn about a variety of businesses and what makes them successful, as well as get to know the history and culture of other countries better than I do now.
