We had a Barcelona Scavenger Hunt activity during our first weekend in Barcelona, Spain, to immerse us in a small part of their beautiful culture. We met in Placa de Catalunya and made our way down the infamous street Las Ramblas where we began our scavenger hunt by looking for marvelous places like the Palau de la Virreina, a beautiful church. The Mercat de la Boqueria is a vibrant public market that offers many diverse foods. Gran Teatre del Liceu is a lovely opera house that offers many performances during our visit. And finally, looking for the most famous ice cream in Las Ramblas, Heladeria Rocambolesc. After, we continued our tour through the Gothic Quarter and had a group lunch, where we had the opportunity to try a Barcelona classic and get to know our peers. On my abroad trip to Barcelona, I seek cultural immersion, architectural inspiration, and artistic exploration. I’m excited to immerse myself in the unique Catalan culture, witness traditional festivals, and engage with the locals. Barcelona’s architectural wonders, from Gaudi’s masterpieces to Gothic cathedrals, I am so excited to have the chance to witness these pieces of architecture. As well, as I am eager to indulge in the city’s diverse culinary scene, sampling tapas and savoring authentic Catalan dishes. In just one trip, I aim to experience the essence of this dynamic city and create lifelong memories.
