I came into this trip with few expectations, I more wanted to visit Portugal than study abroad. It has been a fascinating, educational, fun experience. I would recommend it to others, a concern shouldn?t be about meeting new people or meshing with the group – the groups are very friendly. There is a strong environmental focus in the Portuguese business culture. The current American startup culture is not sustainable in Europe, which begs the question of how long it will be sustainable in the states. The beginning of this trip forces you to reflect on what is common practice in the US and relate it to sustainability, which is an almost equal priority as profit to the Portuguese. Looking forward to the rest of the trip.
