Over the past few years, the movie “Crazy Rich Asians” has significantly boosted tourism in Singapore. Many visitors come in search of the opulent lifestyle depicted in the film. However, after my first week in Singapore, I can confidently say that its true richness lies not in extravagant homes or luxurious living but in its diverse history. What struck me most during my initial week was the profound ethnic and religious diversity. People in Singapore, speaking different languages, practicing various religions, and enjoying a myriad of foods, coexist harmoniously.
