Barcelona has been such an unforgettable experience. Thanks to the program I have met so many great people, made so many incredible new memories, and learned so much about Spanish culture and way of life. Studying abroad in Spain has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to take advantage of something so great. I have always wanted to learn more about the culture, language, and history of such an amazing country. Throughout high school and college, I have really enjoyed learning the language and after this summer of learning about international business and the European Union, I am more inspired to pursue the goal of mine to work abroad during my career. This program has been the perfect introduction to international business and I can?t wait to learn more about it during the rest of my time at Mays and more about business in Spanish-speaking countries in my Spanish minor. Growing up in Europe and having family that works there, wanting to work abroad has been something I?ve wanted to do since I was a little kid. Trying new things like eating new foods, learning new cultures, and adapting to new ways of life was introduced to me at a young age. The work-life balance in Spain compared to the United States is pretty nice and it?s something I wouldn?t mind enjoying for a few years after college. As ready as I am to be home, I believe that there are so many great things to do outside of Texas and the United States and I can?t wait to come back to Europe and learn more. There is still so much left to do and after doing so much in one summer, I feel like I have only scratched the surface.
