Where do I begin!!? Barcelona and the adventures that come with studying abroad have been incredibly fun, but also an opportunity that has taught me many life lessons. I love to seize every opportunity and there have been so many amazing people and places to learn from. I specifically love the people, the food, the architecture, and being pushed out of my comfort zone.
Easily one of my favorite things of Barcelona is the neighborhood that my friends and I were placed in. It was called Gracia, and it is filled with unique shops, delicious food, and the nicest people. It does not feel touristy, so being able to see how Spaniards live their day to day life is so cool. Also getting to live with my closest friends and be able to go to our regular restaurants and favorite gelato place is so special.
Also I loved getting to learn about the history of Barcelona, and visit key sites that make up Barcelona. My favorite place that we visited was Park Guel. The architecture of the park, and the detail in everything was so beautiful and something I had never seen before.? I also loved getting to have free weekends. My friends and I traveled to Paris and Switzerland for our weekends off, and it was so much fun. The ability to travel in Europe with friends was one of my favorite parts of the trip, and it was amazing to see other countries while being here.
I truly do not understand how I have been here for over a month. The time has flown by so quickly, and getting to experience a new country with friends and classmates has been the best thing ever. The small moments I have had while being abroad have shaped me, and have given me a new perspective that I cannot wait to bring home with me.
