I was very iffy about choosing which courses and program to go with when I decided I wanted to study abroad this summer. There were so many great options, but this specific location stood out to me the most. It was extremely beautiful. However, the main courses focused on Marketing. I am not a marketing major in the least bit. I am an accounting major. I needed the international business credit, but the marketing portion of this summer would only be an elective added to my curriculum. I still decided to go with it because this trip stood out to me. I am so thankful I did. I enjoy helping people and interacting with them and that is what made this class enjoyable for me. We got to work one on one with actual clients that needed our help. There were a few barriers when we worked together, but honestly that was the best part about it. How many times can you say that you consulted clients in a different country. The best part about the projects we all had is that we can tell that the people of Neum really appreciated our work and took it to heart. I am confident to say that Neum will probably end up using at least one of our ideas. To have this great experience for myself while helping others at the same time is so amazing. Aside from our coursework, going out to restaurants, the Old Town, and shopping educated me.
