To say this study abroad trip changed my life is an understatement. I truly could not recommend signing up for this trip more! I got to travel to seven different countries over the course of one month, how cool is that! We visited the United Kingdom, France, Monaco, Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. While I had visited Europe before this trip, I went to so many other places that I had never even heard of. I really enjoyed getting to know each place and what they had to offer. I did not realize how much I would love the cities I knew nothing about. Places like Innsbruck, Austria and Lucerne, Switzerland quickly became my favorites, both of which I had never heard of before this trip. Also, French people are not as mean as people say they are. Outside of Paris, French people are very patient and understanding. I think this is why Avignon and Nice, both in France, were also two of my favorite place we visited. Another thing I really loved was being able to visit different companies and see how their operations differ from ours in the US. For the most part, I would say operations abroad are more personal and hands on. I think this is because they are focused for on tradition and keeping the integrity of older companies intact, while in the US we are focused more on numbers. Visiting new places and experiencing different cultures has allowed my perspective on the world in so many ways. I have realized that there are so many opportunities outside of the United States, and that I would love to one day work and live abroad. This experience has opened my eyes to the amazing world we live in and I could not be more grateful! This trip was truly the best experience of my life and I met so many people that I know will be in my life for a very long time!
