To any Aggie who is considering taking a CIBS study abroad in Italy (or anywhere), I want to tell you it will be one of the best choices you will make not only in your time in college but in your life. You get thrown into a country and you have to make it be the best time of your life. You would see beautiful beaches, towering mountains, and untouched nature that you won’t find anywhere in the US. You would be in a country with like-minded people who all most likely study within the same school (like business). You have opportunities to make so many friends and to make close connections with your professors. You would experience freedom like you’ve never felt before. You would hear dialogue of people speaking a foreign language around you constantly and here the emotional tone of voice that Italians carry. You only have one life to live and there are few opportunities to travel this extensively once you’ve graduated into a full time job and a possible family. I’d recommend anyone, even people who doubt their own ability to do it, to at least seriously consider it. I didn’t give it much thought until one of my close friends came back from a study abroad and France and showed me everything he was able to do. After then I was sold and I hope I can sell anybody who reads this to go on a study abroad. There’s no better way to spend your summer than being in Italy with people who will become your close friends.
