The name of the company that I work at is called Axam. This is a distributor business that partners with manufacturers like Kimberly Clark (American) and Vikan (Danish) for example. Axam sells their products online, on the Axam website: axam.es . Axam is the middle man between manufacturers and businesses. I have many initial impressions of the company that I am interning at. My first impression is that I really like the people at my business. They are very kind. My next impression is that Spanish people normally don’t like American products (from what my boss tells me) and the only reason Axam has been able to sell to Spain is because we market that our products are of the highest quality. Spaniards normally like European products more than American products.
Much of the business is conducted online in Spain. We have new clients every week that buy products on our website. Once they buy them, Axam delivers the products to the client. I am currently designing websites and adding products to their Shopify already. I am also updating their CRM. This has given me an insight into how small business works. Much business is conducted on e-commerce which is why I am working hard on the company’s website so it can grow faster. It has been a great time and I’m excited to see what the second half brings.
