Now that my experience abroad has come to a close, it is rewarding to reflect on what I have learned over these past 28 days. Eight different countries in a little under a month were exciting, transformative, and ultimately an incredible learning opportunity. Each company visit taught me so much about the similarities and differences between international business environments. As someone who has gained an interest in living abroad post-grad, I’m leaving this experience with a much wider perspective and greater understanding of what it might look like to work in a different country.
Our company visits were above and beyond my expectations. Each one was impactful, and interactive, and kept me eager to know more. Design Bridge and Partners in London showed me what top-level marketing and brand campaigns look like across vastly different companies. The Swiss Paraplegic Center exposed me to the importance of strategic and authentic marketing for a service-based organization. Exploring the extensive facilities, watching world-renowned athletes train, and hearing first-hand experiences are just a part of what made this visit so unique. I gained insight into the revenue and expense streams associated with a European football club like Chelsea all while exploring team locker rooms, press conference rooms, and even standing right on the sidelines of the pitch.
When reflecting on my initial impressions of what this experience would be like, I never could have imagined the wealth of knowledge I’d gain, the depth of friendships I’d retain, and the new perspective I would walk away with. I feel so fortunate to have explored the world in such an action-packed manner. I truly believe I gained the greatest return on my investment possible. To do it alongside some of the most incredible people at Texas A&M was a blessing I hadn’t been prepared for. I’m walking away from this trip with relationships that will last throughout college and beyond. I am excited to continue pursuing international business and envisioning what it looks like to take a leap and spend part of my life across the country. Thanks to Europe Marketing Study Abroad 2025, I feel prepared and confident that I can attain that more than ever.
