Upon finishing a month abroad, I don’t think I could feel any more grateful. This experience has been transformative in more ways than I anticipated. From day one — arriving in London for our global business program — I sensed how impactful this journey would be. Each city we visited offered new cultural and professional insights that broadened my worldview and deepened my appreciation for global diversity.
Within the first week of this trip, I realized that every city would be completely different. Because of this, I didn’t come in with any set expectations and kept an open mind. That mindset allowed me to fully embrace each city’s culture and enjoy the experience without trying to meet any preconceived ideas.
One of the best parts of this trip was sharing it with such an amazing group of people. Whether we were visiting companies like Design Bridge & Partners or learning on the go during walking tours and class discussions, I learned just as much from the people around me as I did from the businesses themselves. The professors challenged us to think critically, ask better questions, and really pay attention to how culture impacts marketing. Talking through our takeaways after each visit helped me see things from new perspectives I wouldn’t have reached on my own. Our cultural visits were just as meaningful — from figuring out the Tube together in London to standing under the Eiffel Tower or hiking in Switzerland, every day was a mix of learning and unforgettable shared experiences.
More than anything, I’m grateful for the friendships and mentorships that made this experience what it was. I came here hoping to learn about global business, and I’m leaving with a whole new appreciation for people — how they live, work, and connect across cultures.
