Hi!
This week so far has been one of the best of my life. We started by going to Oxford and learning about the different ways that people enjoy school around the world. We saw sights such as C.S. Lewis’s rooms, famous churches, and beautiful markets. The tour guides were excellent and showed us the kindness and respect people have for Americans. We even got interviewed by a news station! After Oxford, we went back to London and saw Big Ben and Parliament. Inside Parliament lay the House of Commons and House of Lords, and learning about how the English government worked gave me insight into the similarities and differences between our government and theirs. We also did a bike tour all around London where we got to see the city in all its glory. The history of the city is so interesting. Seeing churches that are hundreds of years old on the side of a random street is something I am not used to. I even got to go to a soccer game! While I still don’t think it measures up to Kyle Field (Whoop!) it was an incredible experience that I will never forget. London is a beautiful city full of wonderful people that care for and love their rich history. If anyone has the chance to go, I could not recommend it more. This is truly a once of a lifetime experience that I will never forget, and I still have a much left to see. Between the food, the people, and the sights, this has been the best trip I have ever been on!
