It’s only been a week since I got to Japan for the Study Abroad Program, and I already feel like I’ve seen and learned so much. From the second I landed, I was amazed by how beautiful, clean, and peaceful everything is here. Compared to the U.S., there’s such a calm and organized vibe, and everything seems super intentional and neat.
One of the most unforgettable moments so far was visiting Mount Fuji. Seeing it in real life felt like a dream because it was so peaceful and breathtaking, completely different from the buzz of the city. I’ve also been loving the shopping here, from the great food, Uniqlo, souvenirs, and even cosmetics, Japan seems to have it all! I feel like I could spend hours in a single store just looking at all the little details because Japan really knows how to make everyday things feel special.
We also got to visit Waseda University and spend time with professors there, which was such a cool experience. Talking to them gave me a new perspective on what life looks like here, and it was fun to compare our routines and cultures. Everyone was super kind and open, and it made me realize how important and valuable these global connections are.
Through this program, I really hope to grow both personally and professionally. I want to learn how business is done in other parts of the world, become more culturally aware, and take all of that with me wherever I go next. So far, Japan has already left such a strong impression on me, and I’m so excited to see what South Korea brings next!
