This global business program, though short, has been a great way to explore and learn. I have been excited for it and going to classes for months, so I am so excited that it’s finally happening and already a week in. It started in Zurich, Switzerland, so clean that even the air smells different. It was a great beginning and started my love for Switzerland. Lucerne’s lake and mountains felt like a postcard. I fully want to live there one day, and I’m hoping that I can make that work. Innsbruck, Austria, surprised me with how much fun I had with friends, exploring and going up the mountain. Now in Trieste, Italy, the country I was most excited for, it’s been great with its seafront and lively streets. I’ve loved handling trains, trying new foods, and seeing snow, lakes, and towns. I cannot wait for the next week of my trip.
The visits to Education First and Swarovski showed how global businesses work. Education First linked education to markets, while Swarovski’s focus on design and branding was inspiring. I’m excited for the next three visits, especially Italy’s local shops, to dive deeper into international markets. My passion for commercial real estate drives me to study how properties, like Lucerne’s charming buildings or Trieste’s coastal offices, shape economic growth. It also made me very excited to visit the Education First office, which was beautiful. I’m learning how location and design influence business success.
This trip is growing my love for travel and learning about international business. It’s also been amazing at making lifelong friendships. I’m building skills by connecting with different people and picking up ideas for leadership in real estate. Each city’s vibe pushes me to think bigger about my future in global markets, and I’m excited to keep exploring and studying. I’m also wishing that this internship was more than 2 weeks long, but I will savor every moment.
