As my six weeks in Vienna comes to a close I can’t help but look back on how much I have been able to learn in such a short amount of time. I have met students from all around the world and have gained an understanding of so many different cultures. Coming into this exchange I was worried about how different Europe and Austria might be, and if I would be able to live in a brand new place for a month. After living here, I can safely say that adapting to the changes in living, food, teaching, and culture not only made me a much better student but also a better person. My initial reaction to Vienna was amazement at the beautiful architecture and wonderful public transit, but as I stayed longer I began to appreciate the more subtle aspects of life. From the bakery where I grabbed breakfast every morning to my favorite kebap stand, I found Vienna to be a lovely and welcoming study destination. I would highly recommend this program to anyone!
