Since I’ve been here for less than a week, there is so much for me to still see and learn. But a few things I have been able to learn about are the food, work-life balance, and their primary forms of transportation. Some Spanish dishes I have been able to try are Salmorejo, Tortilla de Patatas, and (of course) tapas. In class, we had a Spanish employment law attorney come talk to us. One of the biggest differences between the US and Spain is that hours worked per week here is heavily limited for businesses. Lastly, at least once a day we have taken the metro. This is one of the most popular, cheap, and environmental ways to get around the city. We use it everyday to get to and from class.
