Studying abroad has genuinely changed my life for the better. As someone who did not expect to make any strong friendships in just 4 short months, I am surprised to say that I have walked away with amazing best friends who are family and I will cherish that for the rest of my life (Pro tip: talk to people outside of America! You will learn so much about different cultures)! I’m pleased to say that I’ve been able to travel to over 12 countries, and I have made unforgettable memories in each of them.
Strasbourg is also a great location for travel. Not only do we have the Strasbourg Airport, but we also have Baden Baden, Paris (3 airports), Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Frankfurt. Consider using airlines such as Volotea, Ryan Air, EasyJet and more. Additionally, buying a Eurail pass will save you a ton of money!
Everyone always told me – you will cry when you leave. I finally understand what they meant by this. Studying abroad is an experience everyone should have. It teaches you not only about the world around you, but also about yourself. Not only have I learned more to be more independent, but I’ve more importantly learned to appreciate the moment. Going to a foreign country can be extremely daunting, but trust me, it will be the best experience that you will ever have. I’m really excited to return to Strasbourg one day!
