It’s been two weeks since I’ve arrived in Strasbourg! Thankfully my dad and brother came with me to help me get settled so it’s been a great help. Coming from a background of not knowing any French, it’s been overwhelming, but luckily people are super kind and go out of their way to help. I’ve also met great people and am looking forward to my trips coming up!
EM Strasbourg is very different from Texas A&M for a number of reasons. First, classes are 3 hours long and only occur once a week or once every two weeks. EM Strasbourg is also a pretty small school, so you will have multiple classes with some people, which is great when it comes to making friends! Our professors have told us that there isn’t any homework, but rather a few quizzes/presentations and a final exam. I honestly prefer this schedule more, since it allows for more travel time.
I have also grown to love a city. I would recommend either living in a dorm or somewhere close to school (near Esplande), since that is where most students live. I’ve also been attending events held by the international student organization on campus and met a lot of people! It’s a very safe area and things are easily walkable.
I’m really excited to see how the semester goes (especially as things warm up!)
