As we have just begun our experience in Barcelona Spain, there were a lot of notions that I expected in Spain and some that completely came out of the blue. The main one that I have experienced is the diversity in this city. Walking around, shopping, and eating, I have overheard many different languages and seen many different people from all over the world. Coming to Spain I honestly expected Barcelona to be populated mostly by Spaniards. From taxi drivers, to locals I have conversed with, I have met people from all over Europe, Asia, and America. The diversity of Barcelona serves as a melting pot of many cultures and I have profoundly seen this in the cuisine of the city; a beautiful mix of all the cultures that come to Barcelona.
Our group is Amazing, the aggie family is very strong here and we get along wonderfully. There has been a lot of culture shock but it is very helpful to have a strong group around me. This first week has been wonderful, and I am excited for the weeks to come.
