After having spent a month In Valencia, Spain and learning the ins and outs of how they conduct business at Ypsilon Sports Clinic, I have realized it isn’t as different as I previously thought. While it is still very relaxed and easy going, when it comes down to doing your job the doctors and staff here are just as diligent as they are in the United States. I also realized that a lot of the hands on work I was doing ended up being great experience and I learned how to properly conduct myself and that this is how doctors learn in the United States. Medicine is a universal language and while there were some nuanced differences, all in all it was more similar to the United States than I imagined. I have learned so many things while staying here that I thought I would never learn and I am beyond grateful for this experience.
