Being in Strasbourg, France is a dream. I was quite nervous coming into this study-abroad experience because I didn’t know what to expect, but the second I landed, I knew I was in for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Strasbourg itself is a beautiful city. It is right on the border of France and Germany so it is amazing to see the mixture of the countries through the buildings, foods, and people. We took two city tours on the first day we were here. The first one was a walking tour that allowed us to learn the history of Strasbourg and see so many beautiful buildings and places. The second tour was a boat tour on the river that flows through the city. The boat tour was fun because we saw the buildings from a new perspective and the city on a larger scale. That night, we also enjoyed a group welcome dinner at an authentic French restaurant. This experience was amazing and was the perfect way to kick off our month-long stay in this city. The dinner allowed us to feel fully immersed in the French culture. The EM Strasbourg Business School has been amazing too. We take our classes here and it is so interesting to see and meet the students who attend this school full-time.
I hope to gain lifelong friendships and memories out of this experience. Even though, currently, we have only been here five days, I already feel so close to my peers who are also on the trip, and I know that we will only get closer as the trip goes on. I have had such a great time getting to meet and connect with my peers on this trip because everyone is so genuine and friendly. Overall, I am having so much fun in Strasbourg already and I am so excited for what is to come over the next month.
