At first I was a little nervous that it would be difficult to get accustomed to Strasbourg. I was also worried about when I would have time to complete the homework for my classes. However, after being here for one week I can already tell I made the right choice in participating in this global business program. It is a little difficult to communicate in a restaurant or store because I can’t speak or read French. Fortunately, a good amount of people have basic knowledge of English. The more I order at a restaurant or try to communicate with the French, the easier it gets. It is nice that you are with a group of people in the same classes as you because everyone can help each other. Since, everyone has to complete the homework you can work on it together. It is cool to learn how business works here and what they prioritize. I can tell the classes I am taking, international business and investments will be rigorous, but I am sure I will benefit greatly from these classes. I can tell the group of students in this program are going to form a tight bond and I am excited to see what the future holds. So far I have only seen Strasbourg, but the area we are staying in is pretty and has many restaurants, cafès, and shops to go to. There is also a cathedral that is gorgeous and I love walking around it. I am excited to explore different parts of France during the weekends. I am sure I will experience great food and breathtaking sights. It is very interesting to be surrounded in a different culture and to observe the different ways people talk, act, and dress. One of my favorite differences is the architecture of the buildings because they are beautiful.
